Miss Ella Weinberger has recovered from the measles, and has returned to her work at the post office.

DUNNSVILLE.

There are 159 women voters in election district number 5.

GUILDERLAND CENTER.

At the recent W. C. T. U. meeting it was decided to adopt a French orphan. The next meeting will be a public meeting, to be held in the M. E. church at Guilderland on Friday evening, May 17. This will be a Young People’s Branch meeting.

WEST TOWNSHIP.

While going to his work Monday morning Earl Sturgess had the misfortune to lose his pay envelope, containing his two weeks’ pay. He had it in his pocket with War Savings Stamps, and the books ripped his pocket.

VOORHEESVILLE.

The Voorheesville basketball five will play the Green’s All Stars of Castleton at Voorheesville Saturday night. Dancing will follow the game.

VILLAGE NOTES.

The woods on the Knower farm, now owned by the village, were afire on both Friday and Sunday, and the flames burned over quite a piece of ground before they were extinguished.

ONESQUETHAW.

Is Onesquethaw adopting semi-Japanese customs? Early Sunday evening a rather unusual sight was witnessed by many, when a carriage occupied by two girls was hurriedly drawn over the road by a young man.

School Entertainment a Success.

The entertainment given Monday evening by the pupils of the Guilderland Center and Cobblestone schools, was a success, both in attendance and financial results. The sum of $18.45 was raised, which was more than double the amount needed to make each child a member of the Junior Red Cross. Several people of the village assisted, including little Geraldine York and Isabelle Jamison in recitation and Rev. E. O. Moffett with the bells.
