To the Editor:
On behalf of the board of directors of the Fairview Cemetery, I would like to publicly thank the American Legion Riders for the generous donation of 41 United States veteran flag holders to the cemetery.

It has long been our wish that every veteran who rests in the cemetery have one.

Each year, just before Memorial Day, the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars post members place American flags at the graves of each veteran.

This donation ensures the 130-plus veterans interred at Fairview will each have a holder for a flag so that they will be properly honored for their service.
