Guilderhaven looks back and plans future events

GUILDERLAND — What a winter that wasn’t. It’s time to catch our breath and look back at what a busy year we had.

With the support of our animal-loving community we facilitated the spaying or neutering of 561 cats and 165 dogs. We rescued and released injured and orphaned mammals and birds. We delivered pet foods to individuals and other rescue groups that were struggling.

We also provided educational programs and materials to public and private groups and youth organizations.

Now its time to move forward into 2016, which looks to be just as active and we hope as successful as last year.

Please think about joining us for a fun night at Glennpeter Jewelers at 1544 Central Ave. as we celebrate our fourth annual “Cinco de Meow” event. The fundraiser will feature horsd'oeuvres and drawings including a $1,500 wine-tasting event. Please call me at (518) 861-6861 if you plan to attend.

Other upcoming events include a May 7 garage sale at 108 Halfmoon Dr. in Altamont from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and a June 4 Bake-Barbecue-Plant Sale at Altamont’s park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
