These local students have recently distinguished themselves:

— Jacob Marrello of Slingerlands Earned a Year-End Men's Hockey Award at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; and

— Sarah Abbott of East Berne, was chosen as one of Angela Blose Corley ('67) Scholarship recipients at Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences, Mary Baldwin University;

These local students received Susan Sutton Smith Award at State University of New York Oneonta for school year 2019-2020 with a grade-point average of 3.9 or higher:

— Kathryn Johnston of Altamont, majoring in biology;

— Gwen McFerran of Delmar, majoring in family and consumer sciences education;

— Paul Quinn of Altamont, majoring in political science; and

— Cailyn Toomey of Berne, majoring in early child/childhood education.

These local students are enrolled at State University of New York Oneonta in the music industry program, being one of 28 colleges and universities featured in Billboard magazine's 2020 list of "Top Music Business Schools.":
