Come browse the expanded Encore! Books

To the Editor:

With the warmer days ahead of us, the Friends of the Voorheesville Library will soon begin our Encore! Books 2019 season. Come browse the expanded Encore! Books now located on the Prospect Street side of the library in the two blue sheds.

Our indoor space has doubled, which enables us to have a wider selection and variety of both fiction and non-fiction material for all ages. We are bursting at the seams!

All donations, suggested as low as 50 cents and $1, are used to support library programs. We especially enjoy being able to help teachers fill their classroom bookshelves. Let us know if you are a teacher; we will set you up without emptying your wallet.

Our expansion not only offers more space but also offers the community expanded hours. Encore! Books will be open Tuesdays, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., beginning May 7. In addition, we will be open Thursdays, from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., beginning June 6.

Our team of volunteers always welcomes new team members.

For your convenience in donating used books in good condition, the Friends of the Library will be collecting donations on May 4, Community Share Day, behind the Voorheesville firehouse from 9 a.m. to noon.

Encore! Books will accept donations when it is open from May until September.

We look forward to reconnecting with past patrons and welcome first-time book browsers.
