KNOX — Javid Afzali has joined Bond Schoeneck & King as a senior counsel in the Albany office.

Afzali, who previously worked for Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP, serves in the litigation, property and environmental and energy practices, focusing primarily on corporate boards, commercial dispute resolution and litigation, land use, and construction and environmental permitting.

Afzali lives in the town of Knox with his wife, Mara, and their four children, and serves as interim town counsel for both the towns of Knox and Westerlo. He is an officer in the United States Army (Reserves) JAG Corps and a member of the Knox Volunteer Fire Department.
