A steely sound, comes from the center of Berne's town park at Summerfest, every August, where the guitar playing of Jim Selkirk of the Hilltown Ramblers was heard, pictured, in 2013.

BERNE — The committee planning the town’s annual summer event has started lining up vendors and musicians to fill the town park on Aug. 22.

The day will again feature a car show, a climbing wall, live music all day from the pavilion, and expanded children’s activities. It will culminate with a fireworks display.

Civic, religious, and community organizations can participate, as well as local artisans or crafters. Registration forms are available at the town clerk’s office in the town hall at 1656 Helderberg Trail in Berne, or online at berneny.org.
