INVITATION TO BID 
Village of Voorheesville 
West Street Water Main Replacement and Extension Project 
Sealed Bids will be received at the office of the Village of Voorheesville, 29 Voorheesville Avenue, Voorheesville,  NY 12186, until 2 pm local time on Friday April 29, 2022, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud  for: Village of Voorheesville West Street Water Main Replacement and Extension Project. 
Work shall include, but is not limited to, the installation of approximately 1,400 feet of 8” Ductile Iron water main  and appurtenances by open trench along West Street including re-establishing water service to 12 properties. The  work includes associated restoration including road paving along Village and Albany County streets. The project  will also require obtaining a permit from Albany County DPW. 
The Project shall be completed on or before August 31, 2022, and completed and ready for final payment on or  before September 30, 2022. The project schedule shall have work completed in no more than 4 weeks from the  commencement date of construction. 
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids will be received on an itemized unit price basis. Bids should not include sales and compensating use taxes on materials incorporated into the work. 
Bids actually received by mail or by hand after the appointed time on the date specified shall be rejected,  notwithstanding that such Bid may have been placed in a mailbox or other mail receptacle regularly maintained by  the United States Postal Service before such time, and ordinarily in sufficient time to have been delivered on time. 
Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to  Bidders. 
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal  to 100% of the contract price.

Complete sets of Bidding and Contract Documents must be obtained from C.T. MALE ASSOCIATES to be  considered a Formal Bidder. Prospective General Contractor Bidders will be given an electronic copy of the bid  documents by email or CD free of charge. Prospective bidders shall email Theresa St. Germain at (or call at 518-786-7400) to obtain the bid documents. Additional sets of Documents, as  well as all Documents for suppliers and subcontractors, are available at non-refundable cost as listed in the  Instructions to Bidders.  
Payment for additional Documents and for postage and handling should be made either in cash or by check made  payable to C.T. MALE ASSOCIATES. 
There will be no Pre-bid Conference. 
Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President’s Executive Orders No. 11246 and No. 11375,  which pertain to nondiscrimination in employment. The requirements for Bidders and Contractors under these  orders are explained in the Bidding and Contract Documents. 
The Village of Voorheesville reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids received, or to reject any and all bids without explanation.
