Honors and achievements

These local students have recently distinguished themselves:

 

— Luke Durivage of  Voorheesville, was named to the fall 2019 dean's award for academic excellence at Colgate University, with a  grade-point average of 3.3 or higher;

— Lauren Horstmyer of Schenectady, was named to the fall 2019 dean's award for academic excellence at Colgate University, with a  grade-point average of 3.3 or higher; 

— Karley Audino of Berne, was named to the Winter 2020 dean's list at Elmira College, with a  grade-point average of 3.6 or higher; 

— Azeema Amzad of Schenectady enrolled at State University of New York Delhi  for the Spring 2020 semester pursuing a degree in criminal justice;

— Jennifer Flayter of Delmar enrolled at State University of New York Delhi  for the Spring 2020 semester is pursuing a degree in nursing;

— Laura O'Grady of Delmar, was recently inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, initiated at Ithaca College;

— Jenevieve Huta of Delmar, was recently inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, initiated at Alfred University;

— Kathryn Johnston of Altamont, was recently inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society, initiated at State University of New York Oneonta;

— Katelyn McDonough of Guilderland, was recently inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society, initiated at State University of New York Oneonta; and

— Sean Nolan of Voorheesville, was recently inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society, initiated at State University of New York Oneonta.
