Mendelssohn Club cancels spring concert

BETHLEHEM — The Mendelssohn Club of Albany has canceled its annual spring concert due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“Like so many music and performing arts groups, we have been unable to rehearse since last March, so the 2021 spring concert is just not possible,” said the club’s president, Dee Van Riper, in a release. “This is unfortunate, but we are planning to reconvene in September and look forward to continuing the club’s proud 112-year tradition at our annual holiday concert in December.”

The club thanks its many longstanding and valued subscribers for their support. Individual subscribers will receive information about future ticket options when the Mendelssohn Club Board of Directors reaches a decision regarding the 2021-2022 concert season later this year.
