Have a fine time in the sunshine as you spruce up Altamont’s parks

To the Editor:

One of the sure signs that our spring has finally arrived is the Altamont Green and Clean. Sponsored by Altamont Community Tradition, this annual event invites everyone in the village to come out, meet your neighbors, and engage in a cooperative spring cleaning and sprucing up of our wonderful parks.

We’ll be meeting at Orsini Park in the heart of the village at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 27. Join us — we’ll provide garden waste bags and coffee; you bring your garden gloves and favorite gardening tools.

Keith Lee, who regularly volunteers his time creating and maintaining many of the public green spaces around the village, along with Altamont’s part-time gardeners, will be coordinating our efforts. It’s sure to be a fine time in the sunshine.
