We miss our students terribly — stay safe

To the Editor:

We are writing to Guilderland Central School District families.

As teachers, we understand that the recent weeks have been challenging on many levels. First and foremost, we are proud of you all for how well you have adapted to the changing circumstances and stepped up to the challenge of remote learning. We are thankful to be working with you as a team to continue learning.

We appreciate the adjustment it has taken to shift to a remote learning plan. We are grateful for and applaud you for all of the support and effort. All any of us can do is our best and we thank you for doing your best!

While uncertainty is difficult for both children and adults, please know that we are here for you. It may not be face-to-face as we are all used to, but we are only an email, phone call, or Google Meet session away.

We miss our students terribly and are looking forward to seeing them face-to-face in our classrooms again soon. While our passion certainly remains the education of our children, our first priority is everyone’s well being. Stay safe.

We miss you.
