Learn about tick-borne illnesses

GUILDERLAND — The Guilderland Garden Club, town of Guilderland, and the Guilderland Historical Society are sponsoring a free educational seminar on Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses on May 4 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the cafetorium at Farnsworth Middle School at 6072 State Farm Road (Route 155) in Guilderland.

Speakers will include representatives from the Lyme Action Network, medical professionals, and a patient/advocate. The seminar will provide attendees with information on the complexity of diagnosing Lyme disease and ways to keep from being bitten by ticks.

The first 100 attendees will receive a free tick-removal kit.
