Pancake breakfast a sweet success

To the Editor:

The tremendous success of the Kiwanis pancake breakfast this weekend was thanks to the participation of a great many people.

Sue Mason's Pony Pals kids, with the support of their moms, made an outstanding effort waiting tables.  Kiwanis members, Helderberg Hilltowns Association members, and other community volunteers planned, promoted, set up, cooked and cleaned up for several hundred meals.

The Knox Volunteer Fire Company and the Ladies’ Auxiliary graciously allowed our use of their kitchen facilities and dining room. We are grateful to all of them, along with the vendors, the maple producers, and all the patrons who came to support this important fundraiser.
