These local members of the New York Army National Guard have been promoted:

— Tyler Center from Slingerlands, assigned to the Joint Force Headquarters, who received a promotion to the rank of Sergeant; and

— Sarah Degnan from Slingerlands, assigned to the Company A ,3-142nd Aviation, who received a promotion to the rank of Warrant Officer 1.

Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential.
