— Ryan Schenmeyer, from Voorheesville, first place in auto service technology;

— Andrew Masi, from Guilderland, first place in diesel equipment technology;

— Brendon Haack, from Berne-Knox-Westerlo, first place in heating, ventilation and air conditioning;

— Gavin Ogren, from Guilderland, third place as a carpenter’s assistant;

— Colynn Tubbs, from Guilderland, third place in diesel equipment technology;

— Ryan Gundermann, from Guilderland, third place in extemporaneous speech; and

— Megan O’Toole, from Voorheesville, fourth place in restaurant service.

All of the first-place winners and many of the other medal winners earned the right to advance to the state SkillsUSA competition in Syracuse next month.

The state SkillsUSA competition will be conducted from April 25 to 27 at the New York State fairgrounds in Syracuse. Winners of that event will advance to the national competition in Kentucky in June.
