Boy Scouts say thanks

To  the Editor:

Last Saturday’s Boy Scout Troop 1079 Pancake Brunch in Berne turned out to be a huge success, serving 140 guests — far above our expectations.

The troop would like to thank The Altamont Enterprise for publishing our event notices, and the following donors for donating many food products to make it all possible: Stewart’s Shop, Price Chopper and ShopRite in Slingerlands; Hannaford Market in Voorheesville; and Mr. Randy Grippen of Mountain Winds Farm in Berne for his delicious homemade maple syrup.

Thanks are due to Girl Scout Troops 1056 and 1482 for setting up a table and selling their Girl Scout Cookies, always a crowd-pleaser!

Thanks to Mr. Lou Schenk and the Berne Mason Lodge, our Troop Charter, for allowing us, once again, the use of their lodge and kitchen space to prepare and serve many meals.

Lastly, we’d like to thank our community members from near and far who came out to support our troop and enjoyed a delicious brunch. We sincerely appreciate your support.
