Donate your old stuff and buy new to help the library

To the Editor:

Clear your bookshelves, jewelry boxes, game shelves, and media cabinets of your used items and donate them to the Friends of the Berne Library for our annual book, jewelry, media, and game sale.

Drop-off date is Saturday, March 23, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Berne Community/Senior Center at 1360 Helderberg Trail in Berne.

Then return the following weekend to purchase new-to-you books sorted by genre and subject for children, young adults, and adults. Choose the jewelry just right for your spring wardrobe.

Media will include DVDs, audio books, music CDs, and computer games. Puzzles and games will also be available.

The sale is Saturday, March 30, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Sunday, March 31, the sale runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on this day you can fill a bag with books for $3. Other items will be half-price.

Proceeds benefit the Berne Public Library.  Hope to see you on drop-off day and at the sale!
