Fair rental rates benefit everyone, say the developers of the 2024 Farmland Rental Rate Survey.

The Capital Area Agriculture & Horticulture Team and Cornell University are calling on farmers and people involved in agricultural businesses to fill out an anonymous survey.

The 2024 Farmland Rental Rate Survey, described by the team that created it as “quick, confidential, and immensely valuable,” is available at https://farmbusiness.cornell.edu/cashrates.

“By sharing your experiences, you contribute to a comprehensive understanding of land rental rates and custom harvest fees,” says a release from the team. “This knowledge empowers you to make informed decisions for your farm or business ….

“The survey results will serve as a benchmark for rental rates and custom services …. Fair rental rates and transparent custom harvest fees benefit everyone involved.”
