Susan Rosa

Susan Rosa

“The love a mother gives knows no boundaries,” wrote Susan Rosa’s children in a tribute. “There isn’t anything she won’t do for her children and her family. We don’t realize just how much she loves us; and we never really appreciate her until she is no longer here.

“Our mom decided on Feb. 20, that it was time for her to join our dad. She missed him terribly, and truly could not live without him. As difficult as this time has been for us, we know she is happy with dad now.”

Susan “Sue” Rosa died peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021 in Loudonville, New York.

Mrs. Rosa is probably best known for driving a school bus (with Mickey Mouse on the grill) for Guilderland. After retiring from the school district, she worked for many years at the Board of Cooperative Educational Services as a teaching assistant in the cosmetology program as well as the food service program.

“She was also a part time employee for the Town of Guilderland Parks and Recreation Department for many years before moving to sunny Florida with our dad,” her family wrote.

Mrs. Rosa was a member of the Helderberg Reformed Church in Guilderland Center; the Guilderland Center Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary; the Helderberg Chapter 301 Order of the Eastern Star; the Fraternal Order of the Eagles 3885 in Englewood, Florida; and the Women of the Moose 758 in Englewood, Florida.
