To the Editor:

The insensitivity, rage, and intolerance expressed in the letter “This transgender crap is too, too much” was truly frightening to read.

I am not transgender. I am a heterosexual female who believes all people are entitled to openly express their core being without censure.

Would Ms. Hallock want to live her life hiding her true self for fear of being ridiculed and abused? She defends with vehemence her own civil rights and privacy. That same passion should be applied to the defense of all human beings’ civil rights and privacy.

Respect a person’s right to use the restroom of the gender they identify with. There is no need for the fear and paranoia. Please, Ms. Hallock, let go of your anger and be at peace with yourself and others.
