BERNE – Vincent and Debra Cardella of Schoharie have announced the engagement of their daughter, Erica S. Cardella, of Niskayuna, to Wade C. Ackroyd of Colonie, formerly of Berne. He is the son of Ed and Valerie Ackroyd of Berne.

Ms. Cardella received her degree in culinary arts in 2005 at Atlantic Culinary Academy in New Hampshire. Ms. Cardella has worked in culinary for approximately 10 years and she has been working for New York State for approximately eight years.

Mr. Ackroyd received his degree in international business at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. Mr. Ackroyd has been working for New York State for approximately four years.

The couple is planning a February, 2023 wedding.
