Tamarack will put a spring in your step

Tamarack, a folk music band, will perform on Sunday, March 3, sponsored by the New Scotland Historical Association, at 2 p.m. at the Wyman Osterhout Community Center in New Salem. The program is free and open to the public.

To the Editor:

Celebrate the arrival of meteorological spring by joining us for an afternoon of traditional Celtic, early American, old-time, French-Canadian and international tunes performed by the local musicians of Tamarack.

Featuring the joyous sound of fiddle, flute, and guitar, these talented musicians weave their way through smooth waltzes, foot-tapping reels, and lively jigs. Tamarack plays for events throughout the Capital District, as well as the Adirondack North Country, Schoharie area, the Catskills, downstate New York. and western New England.

This program is sure to put a spring in your step and a smile on your face! It will be presented on Sunday, March 3, at 2 p.m. at the Wyman Osterhout Community Center in New Salem on Old New Salem Road. Admission is always free. Also, the New Scotland Historical Association museum will be open one half-hour before the program.
