Town seeks input on pathways plan

GUILDERLAND — The first of two public meetings will be held on Monday, March 2, for Guilderland residents to share their thoughts on trails and open space in town.

The town, working with the University at Albany’s Master of Regional Planning program, is developing a comprehensive pathway project.

The project will assess existing assets within the town, identify potential local and regional connections, and explore cooperative opportunities or partnerships with other trails and open-space organizations, according to a notice from the town.

The goal of the project is to develop multi-use trails linking residential neighborhoods to community destinations, and explore options for acquiring open space and parklands.

The March 2 meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the board room at Guilderland Town Hall at 5209 Western Turnpike.
