Şealed bids for the purchase by the Fort Hunter Fire District of a Triple A Combination Pumper and associated equipment will be received at the Fort Hunter Fire House, 3525 Carman Road, Schenectady, NY 12303, uni 7:00 PM March 8, 2021 at which time the bids for the vehicle will be publicly read aloud.

Due to health and safety concerns related to Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) I will be receiving taxes in person by appointment only during the following days and times: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday between the hours of 8 AM and 3 PM, Thursday from 3 PM until 7 PM, and Friday 8 AM until 12 PM at the Richard Rapp Municipal Building (Town Hall), 933 County Route 401, Westerlo, NY 12193. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that taxes may be paid before February 2, 2021 without charge of interest. On taxes remaining unpaid after February 1, 2021, there will be added one percent (1%) interest for the month of February and two percent (2%) interest added for the month of March. The last possible date to pay at the Tax Collector’s office is Wednesday, March 31, 2021.

Variance application # 546: Application submitted for an area variance by James Cramer to request relief from Article XVI, Section 190-112, Table #2 to allow for a dwelling to be constructed 40’ from the front property line. The parcel is located at 28 Whitbeck Road, located in the hamlet development extension zoning district, and is identified as New Scotland Tax parcel # 84.-1-9. TOWN OF RENSSELAERVILLE

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Rensselaerville is inviting Sealed Bids for the following materials to be delivered to the Town Hall and Highway Department, both of which are at 87 Barger Road, Medusa, NY 12120 and to other sites throughout the Town.

1. Diesel Fuel, No.2 Fuel Oil, Mid-Grade and Regular Unleaded Gasoline with automatic delivery and 24 hour service.  Bids shall include a fixed price and the Journal of Commerce average posting price.  In the event that the Town runs out of Diesel Fuel, No.2 Fuel Oil, or Gasoline and has to purchase it elsewhere, the Town shall be reimbursed for any additional expenses.

2. No.2 Fuel Oil delivered to the Rensselaerville Library, Rensselaerville Volunteer Fire Company, Medusa Volunteer Fire Company, Tri-Village Volunteer Fire Company and Rensselaerville Public Safety Building.

3. Heating Unit Service Contracts for the Town Hall, Highway Department, Library, (3) Volunteer Fire Companies and Public Safety Building.

4. Crushed Stone Products, Gravel, Bituminous Asphalt, Asphalt Emulsions, Calcium, Culvert Pipe and Geotextile Fabrics.  

All prices shall be firm for the year.  The contract period for the furnishing of materials and services shall be from April 9, 2021 through April 15, 2022.

Delivery of materials and service contract work shall be during normal business hours of 7 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday.  Delivery of materials shall be within 72 hours of notice.

Any materials rejected by the Town shall be replaced within 48 hours by the bidder at no additional cost to the Town.

Bidders may submit bids for any one or all items. Bidders must be qualified suppliers and have sufficient stock on hand for emergencies.

Bids must be submitted on “Bid Proposal Form(s)” and in a Sealed Envelope that is clearly marked with the bidder name, place of business, and item(s) bid.  Faxed or electronically transmitted bids will NOT be accepted.

Bid Proposal Forms may be picked up at the Town Clerk’s Office during normal business hours at 87 Barger Road, Medusa, NY 12120. Phone (518) 239-4225.

Bids are to be in the Town Clerk’s Office by March 25, 2021 at 6:45 pm.  They will then be opened and read aloud at 7:15 pm. Bids will be awarded within a reasonable amount of time thereafter.

An award does not guarantee the purchase of any specific amount of material.  The Town reserves the right to purchase from the County or State Contracts if it is in the best interest of the Town.
