Police investigate Crossgates death

A Hispanic man in his 50s was “found unresponsive” Saturday morning in the café court at Crossgates Mall, and later declared dead, according to a release from the Guilderland Police.

“There is no indication of foul play, and the death does not appear to be suspicious at this time,” the release, issued just after noon, said.

Guilderland Emergency Medical Services responded with police to the 9:07 a.m. call and “provided life-saving measures, however, he was declared deceased,” the release said.

His body was taken by the Albany County coroner for an autopsy. His name is being withheld until his family is notified, the release said.
