Guilderland police seek citizen volunteers
To the Editor:
The Guilderland Police Department is reviving its neighborhood watch program and seeks citizen volunteers to help this joint effort make our community safer.
GPD wants to build a network of neighborhood coordinators that would be able to mutually share information and build stronger relationships between police and residents.
If you’re interested in learning more about being a coordinator or just being involved in a neighborhood watch program, please email Officer Sean Ralston at . The department is committed to putting a lot of time and effort into this important project.
In addition, GPD encourages residents to take advantage of free public alerts via text and email offered through the Nixle system. The easiest way to “opt-in” for the alerts is to type the keyword ALERTMEGPD to 88877 or sign up at www.guilderlandpd.org.
Please consider these important citizen actions and pass the word among your neighbors. Thanks!
