Students Named to the Marist College Dean's List for the Fall 2016 Semester

These local students were named to the Marist College Dean’s List for the fall 2016 semester:

— Andrew Burns of Slingerlands, a member of the Class of 2019 who is majoring in computer science;

— Emily Burns of Slingerlands, is a member of the Class of 2019 and is majoring in psychology/special education;

— Victoria Coluccio of Voorheesville, is a member of the Class of 2020 and is majoring in biomedical sciences;

— Amanda Conklin of Altamont, is a member of the Class of 2020 and is majoring in psychology/special education;

— James Crowley of Slingerlands, is a member of the Class of 2018 and is majoring in computer science;

— Tara Dandrea of Slingerlands, is a member of the Class of 2017 and is majoring in educational psychology;

— William Floyd of Schenectady, is a member of the Class of 2018 and is majoring in communication;

— Nicole Havill of Delmar, is a member of the Class of 2017 and is majoring in biology;

— Rachel Havill of Delmar, is a member of the Class of 2019 and is majoring in criminal justice;

— Jenna Robinson of Slingerlands, is a member of the Class of 2018 and is majoring in biology; and

— Stephanie Secor of Slingerlands, is a member of the Class of 2020 and is majoring in business administration.

 

Dean’s list

These local students have been named to the dean’s list or received a similar honor from their college or university for the fall 2016 semester:

— Julia Sanford, of Altamont, the daughter of Chris and Elisa Sanford, and a 2015 Guilderland High School graduate, at the State University of New York College at Brockport where she is a nursing student. She is on the president’s list with a 4.0 grade-point average;

— Laura Bauer of Schenectady, a member of the class of 2019 majoring in mechanical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts;

— Nicholaus Jasinski of Altamont, a member of the class of 2017 majoring in management engineering and economic science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts;

— Amy Toscano of Schenectady, a member of the class of 2018 majoring in chemical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts;

— Jennifer Vandervort of Voorheesville, is a member of the class of 2019 majoring in industrial engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts;

— George Corson of Schenectady, on the president’s list with a 3.5 grade-point average at Minnesota State College Southeast;

— Gabriella Buehler of Delmar, at Paul Smith’s College where she is majoring in baking arts and service management;

 

Oneonta grads

These local students are among 300 students to graduate from the State University of New York College at Oneonta following the fall 2016 semester:

— Shannon Cookfair of Delmar, who earned a bachelor of science degree in biology;

— Zach Garcia of Delmar,  who earned a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice;

— Parker Ruetz of Delmar,  who earned a bachelor of science degree in professional accounting;

—  Sarah Bone of Schenectady,  who earned a bachelor of science degree in business economics;

— Emily Denovio of Schenectady,  earned a master of science in education in educational technology specialist; and

— Bethany Tesch of Voorheesville,  who earned a bachelor of science degree in psychology.

 

Quinnipiac Dean’s List

These local students were named to the dean’s list at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut for the fall 2016 semester, each with a grade-point average of at least 3.5:

UNH Dean’s List

These local students have been named to the University of New Hampshire Dean’s List for the fall 2016 semester:

— Anna Biggane of Delmar earned Honors;

— Ashleigh Shaver of Delmar earned Highest Honors;

— Nicole Charron of Schenectady earned Honors;

— Marjorie Steiner of Slingerlands earned High Honors; and

— Lilah Chase of Slingerlands earned High Honors.

Highest honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade-point average of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade-point average is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors.
