GUILDERLAND — William W. Vojnar, the owner of Capital District Construction for the past 30 years, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026. He was 52.

“William was the devoted father of William V. Vojnar and Connor W. Vojnar,” his family wrote in a tribute, noting that his partner and the mother of his sons, Patricia M. Suhalla, died before him.

“William enjoyed following the Green Bay Packers and the New York Yankees,” his family wrote. “He enjoyed working on his house and landscaping, always making sure that his home was looking its best.

“A mentor to many people, William,had a way of teaching and helping people grow along their journey in life. William was a hard worker and once you encountered him, an instant bond was created.

“William was very generous, willing to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. If you needed a helping hand, he was there.

“We have lost an amazing son, father, fiancée, brother, uncle and friend. William loved his dogs, Coco, Louis, and Vinchi and had fond memories of his late dog, Bella. His red Ford trucks, going golfing, trips to the casino for a little gambling on sports, and his lucky number 8 were on his list of favorites!”

William W. Vojnar was the son of Sharon T. Vink Vojnar and William W. (Dorothy Gallo) Vojnar Sr. He was the brother of Lisa A. (Ron Janiszewski) Vojnar and was the fiancé of Rachel R. Mastrianni.

He is survived by his nephew, Brandon W. Watson, and his aunt, Dorie Vojnar.

His grandparents, William S. and Doris Vojnar, grandmother “Granny,” died before him.

Friends are invited to visit his family on Tuesday, Feb. 17, from  4 to 6 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 6 p.m. in the Fredendall Funeral Home at 199 Main St. in Altamont.
