I am writing to say thank you to your newspaper and to your photographer, Michael Koff.

His photos and coverage of local high school sports allow your readers to be aware of many teams, events, and athletes that we would not otherwise see.

He covers a variety of teams — swimming, track, bowling, wrestling, gymnastics — both boys’ and girls’ teams.

He makes the effort to get all of the names of the athletes and to describe the action in detail.

As someone who grew up in the 1960s, before Guilderland had girls’ varsity teams, I love seeing all the opportunities that young women have now in high school sports.
