BPD: Couple burglarized home of someone they knew

BETHLEHEM — A Troy couple was arrested on Wednesday after a Jan. 30 burglary at a Glenmont home.

Lisa and Carlos Campbell were each charged with second-degree burglary, and third-degree criminal mischief, both felonies, and with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

Lisa M. Campbell, 42, was also charged with another felony, first-degree stalking, while her husband, Carlos R. D. Campbell, 36, was not.

They stole “personal property” from the Glenmont home, according to Deputy Chief James L. Rexford, public information officer for the Bethlehem Police.

“I do not believe any stolen property was recovered,” he told The Enterprise.

Bethlehem and Albany police worked the case together, Rexford said, “utilizing the Albany County Crime Analysis Center resources to build the case against the suspects.”

He also said, “The victim in the case knew the suspects.”

Both of the Campbells were arraigned in Bethlehem Town Court by Justice Andrew Kirby and were then turned over to the Albany Police Department for the additional charges that occurred in the city of Albany.
