VCSF is spreading smiles this month

To the Editor:

The Voorheesville Community and School Foundation is known for its grant-making activities, community events, and fundraising efforts within the boundaries of the Voorheesville Central School District. For the month of February, VCSF wants to add something new to that list — spreading smiles!

#VoorheesvilleSpreadingSmiles is a month-long project started to spread positivity in the face of current challenges. The project is full of interactive and inspirational acts of “smileness” for everyone to do and a list of suggestions has been compiled in a calendar that can be found on our Facebook group page created just for the project -https://www.facebook.com/groups/voorheesvillespreadingsmiles.

VCSF will also be spreading smiles throughout the month by planning and encouraging targeted acts of “smileness” for the school and other organizations in our community. We can’t wait to show everyone what we have up our sleeves (and behind our masks)!

We are looking for help from everyone who would like to mask this gray, cold February with good deeds and reasons to smile! Please join the Facebook group, watch for opportunities to participate, and share your smile-spreading experiences. If you are not on Facebook but still want to help with the #VoorheesvilleSpreadingSmiles project, please contact us via email at
