Ravena church holds huge book sale

The Book Nook at Grace United Methodist Church in Ravena is holding its semi-annual Huge Winter Book Sale on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Feb. 22, 23, and 24. The hours are 9 a.m. to noon and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

“There’s something for everyone,” organizers say. “Hardcovers and paperbacks. Novels and non-fiction. Tens of thousands of books to choose from — along with a mini-rummage sale.”

Book prices: hardcovers $1 each; paperbacks, 50 cents each; with either, if you buy five, you get one free. Children’s books are 25 cents each or five for a $1. CDs, DVDs, and VHS tapes, as well as puzzles and games, are also available. Breakfast and lunch will be available all three days.

Donations are welcome through Feb. 20. Donated books must be in good condition with no torn or damaged covers, no missing or water-damaged pages, and no mold or dirt. No textbooks, encyclopedias, or out-of-date computer and medical/health books, please.
