Doris Orsini-Pulliam gets a hug from Erin Marie Thorpe, owner of the My Way Tavern, at her 90th birthday party.

To the Editor:

Our mother, Doris Orsini-Pulliam, celebrated her 90th birthday in style. She grew up in Altamont and has lived most of her life in the village.

Her children held  a surprise party for her this past weekend at My Way Cafe Tavern in Knox. Eighty people came to celebrate a life well lived.

Thank you to all who were able to make it; she was so very happy and surprised!
