Amazing community helped us serve over 100 Hilltown families for holiday season
To the Editor:
I wanted to take a moment to say thank-you to everyone who worked so hard this holiday season, helping us serve over 100 Hilltown families.
The Helderberg Kiwanis did an amazing job setting up, running, and breaking down our free clothing store at the Modern Woodsman Hall. Kiwanians also provided Thanksgiving food baskets for 24 families with all the trimmings.
St. Lucy’s - St. Bernadette’s Church in Altamont delivered a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal to our seniors on Thanksgiving morning. I heard it was amazing and provided enough food for several days.
Thank you to
— Everyone who donated gifts for our families;
— Albany County Sheriff’s Office for the magic it provides to families in need each year;
— St. Matthew’s Church for sponsoring Christmas meals for our families;
— St. Thomas in Delmar for their donations;
— The many food drives that were hosted on our behalf;
— Towns of Westerlo, New Scotland, the fire companies, schools, the Masons, our many neighbors and friends on and off the Hill.
We cannot fulfill the mission of Catholic Charities without your help. This amazing community of people is such a blessing to us and we thank you and wish you a Happy New Year.
