The bond resolution, a summary of which is published herewith, has been adopted on January 9, 2023, and the validity of the obligations authorized by such bond resolution may be hereafter contested only if such obligations were authorized for an object or purpose for which Voorheesville Central School District, in the County of Albany, New York, is not authorized to expend money or if the provisions of law which should have been complied with as of the date of publication of this Notice were not substantially complied with, and an action, suit or proceeding contesting such validity is commenced within twenty days after the publication of this Notice, or such obligations were authorized in violation of the provisions of the constitution.

BOND RESOLUTION OF VOORHEESVILLE CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT, NEW YORK, ADOPTED JANUARY 9, 2023, AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS AND ALTERATIONS TO THE VOORHEESVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND SITE AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW BUS GARAGE; STATING THE ESTIMATED TOTAL COST THEREOF IS $25,276,063; APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT THEREFOR, INCLUDING THE EXPENDITURE OF $1,000,000 FROM THE DISTRICT’S “BUILDING PROJECT RESERVE FUND-2017” AND $3,500,000 FROM THE DISTRICT’S “BUILDING PROJECT RESERVE FUND-2018”; AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $20,776,063 SERIAL BONDS OF SAID DISTRICT TO FINANCE THE BALANCE OF SAID APPROPRIATION.
Objects or purposes:    (i) the construction of improvements and alterations to the Voorheesville Elementary School and site, at the estimated cost of $10,059,874 and (ii) the construction of a new bus garage, at the estimated cost of $15,216,189.
Amounts of Obligations
to be Issued            $20,776,063
Period of Probable Usefulness:    thirty (30) years
A complete copy of the bond resolution summarized above shall be available for public inspection during normal business hours at the office of the District Clerk, Voorheesville Central School District, 432 New Salem Road, Voorheesville, New York.

   The taxable inhabitants of the Town of Berne will take notice that the undersigned collector of taxes in the said town, has received the warrant for the collection of taxes for the present year and will attend at the following named place and dates for the receiving of taxes.
