‘Be Our Valentine’

To the Editor:

The New York Capital District Christian Women’s Connection is sponsoring a “Be Our Valentine” luncheon on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the Guilderland Elks Lodge at 3867 Route 146 (Carman Road) beginning at 11:30 a.m. and ending at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Our special feature this month is Steve Caporizzo, News 10’s chief meteorologist and host of Pet Connection.

Our special speaker is Elaine Miller who will speak on the “‘Suite’ Life — Going From the Basement of Despair to the Penthouse of Peace.”

Our special music will be from Arlene Ableman and Peg Hart who will entertain us with their keyboard and accordion.

Reservations are necessary no later than Feb. 7 and, once you’ve made a reservation, you must let us know if you can’t come. Please call Nancy at 518-869-0642 or Carol at 518-869-5253 to reserve.

On the menu this month is roast beef and mashed potatoes with an alternative choice of grilled-chicken salad. The cost is $16 inclusive (cash only please).

Nursery care is free at the restaurant by reservation only for infants through kindergartners — bring a bag lunch for your child.

All are welcome; bring a friend or your significant other. They’ll be glad you did!
