Schoharie man crashes snowmobile in Knox
KNOX — A Schoharie man was injured Sunday night after crashing his snowmobile into a flatbed trailer in Knox, police say.
Jordan P. Vincent, 21, was driving his snowmobile across a field Sunday night when he crashed around 6:50 p.m. at 1892 Knox Cave Road, said Inspector J.T. Campbell of the Albany County Sheriff’s Office.
A report from the sheriff’s office said that Vincent drove into the rear of the trailer, and that a contributing factor appears to be speed. Sheriff’s deputies and emergency medical services arrived at the scene within minutes; Vincent was treated for a head and shoulder injury and brought to Albany Medical Center.
Campbell said that Vincent was wearing a helmet and was not trespassing on the property, but he was ticketed for driving an unregistered snowmobile.
