ACT offers grants

To the Editor:

We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Altamont Community Tradition Community Grants.

Funded by event revenues and other generous gifts, these small grants (up to $500) are donated to projects of local non-profit organizations that align with ACT’s mission of historic preservation and/or strengthening the village community through engaging activities.

The deadline for applications is March 1. Successful applicants will be notified by April 15.

In the past, ACT has supported the Altamont Archives, Museum in the Streets, and historic renovations to the Masonic Hall. In 2020, ACT donated to the Altamont Free Library, the Altamont Fair history project, the Altamont Elementary PTA, the Altamont Reformed Church, and St. John’s Lutheran Church.

The Community Grant Application and guidelines are available on-line at altamontcommunitytradition.org/community-grant-program
