We don’t need this in our community

To the Editor:
On review of the proposed sale to the public of live poultry submitted to the town of Guilderland at a location to be occupied here on Western Avenue, the owner claims that the animals will be in cages, fed and watered, and maintained 24/7.

That all sounds great on paper, but how well will that be followed up on by the town?

What about the remains of the slaughtered animals? What is the plan for safe disposal?

What about the keeping of other rodents away?

My view: We don’t need this in our community. It will end up being an eyesore, and bring the attention of rodents and who knows what ugly aromas.
