Troy woman charged with felony after fatal August crash

BETHLEHEM — Jacklyn M. Parker of Troy was charged with criminally negligent homicide, a felony, on Tuesday, following a crash five months ago.

On Monday evening, Aug. 19, Bethlehem Police said in a release at the time that they had responded to a two-car crash near 1463 River Road in Selkirk and determined that Parker, age 24, was driving north on River Road when she crossed over the center lines.

She hit a car heading south, driven by Colleen M. Selkirk, age 60, of Hannacroix, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Parker and her passenger, the release said, had injuries that were not life-threatening.

Parker had been charged in August with operating a motor vehicle while ability impaired by drugs.
