Train Killed Guilderland Farmer on Christmas Eve.

Funeral services for Judson Coon, 60 years old, a Guilderland farmer, who was instantly killed by a train at Karner’s crossing last Wednesday evening, about 6 o’clock, were held Sunday afternoon at his home. Burial was in the Prospect Hill cemetery.

Coon was driving a horse attached to a light wagon when the second section of an eastbound train crashed into the outfit. It is believed that because of the blizzardy conditions he was bundled up over the ears and did not hear the train. Separated from the wagon, the horse ran madly to a nearboy hotel. Coons was dragged some distance and his body was badly mangled.
