Bringing meaning to the scripture: ‘It is better to give than receive’

To the Editor:

The Community Storehouse of Rock Road Chapel wishes to thank all those who have helped us make a difference in our community. We could not feed those in need without the support of so many kindhearted organizations and people.

Berne Reformed Church and its delivery angels, Mary and Dennis White, who have faithfully delivered food and cleaning products every month just in the nick of time: You have been a real blessing to us.

Helderberg Christian School, whose staff and children collected over 280 food items for Thanksgiving food baskets: You have brought real meaning to the scripture, “It is better to give than receive.”

Berne Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary for its donations and the many individuals who bring their donations to the storehouse on a regular basis and are too many to mention: You have made a real difference in what we are able to supply to local families.

If you would like to become a supporter of Rock Road Chapel’s Community Storehouse, please feel free to give us a call and make a difference in the Hilltowns.
