To the Editor:

The New Salem Volunteer Fire Department invites you for a tour of our Punkintown Scaregrounds.  We have transformed our fairgrounds into a haunted neighborhood full of spooks, skeletons, scarecrows and surprises. 

If you or the little ones are faint of heart or a little shy, you should plan on attending from 6 to 8 p.m.  Those of you who are up for a good old-fashioned Halloween trick or treat, you should plan on attending from 8 to 10 p.m. as it gets a little darker and creepier after 8 p.m.

Free parking and admission to those brave enough to take a tour and free popcorn and candy to those who make it through!  The Scaregrounds will be open on both Halloween night, Friday, Oct. 31, and Saturday, Nov. 1, from 6 to 10 p.m. 

We hope to scare you there!
