Dr. Park became a dentist to help others avoid cavities

GUILDERLAND — As a child growing up in South Korea, Guilderland dentist Eun-ha Park didn’t have access to regular preventive dental care, she says. For instance, she never heard of flossing until she went to dental school.
She became a dentist to help others avoid early childhood cavities.
Park came to the United States, alone, at age 19, to attend college, and she stayed to go on to dental school at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
She and her husband, whom she met in dental school — Paul Hyun is an orthodontist with Albany Braces — have three young children.
Park, 33, has assumed the practice that belonged to Marshall Price, who has retired, and renamed it Guilderland Family Dentistry.
The staff who worked for Price have all stayed on with her, Park said, giving clients a sense of continuity. The receptionist has been with the office for almost 19 years, the office manager for 37, and the hygienist for over 30.
Park treats patients of all ages.
She offers general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, family dentistry, and whitening treatments.
