At re-organizational meeting everything rsquo s unanimous in New Scotland
NEW SCOTLAND In stark contrast to last year’s reorganizational meeting, the town board voted swiftly and unanimously on all those appointed to town posts in front of a small audience on Monday.
The board voted unanimously to establish:
Martha Slingerland as registrar;
Victoria Seymour as deputy registrar;
Carol Cootware as sub-registrar;
Lori-Ann Saba as recording secretary for the planning board and the zoning board of appeals;
Jeff Baker as counsel to the planning board and the zoning board of appeals for a one-year term;
Charles Voss as chairman of the planning board for a one-year term;
Jo Ann Davies as the alternate member of the planning board for a one-year term;
William Hennessey as a member of the zoning board of appeals through Dec. 31, 2015 and as chairman of that board for a one-year term;
Paul Cantlin as town constable for a one-year term;
Douglas Miller as public safety commissioner and chairman of the public safety committee for a one-year term;
Darrell Duncan as deputy public safety commissioner for a one-year term;
Kevin Phelan as chairman of the water committee for a one-year term;
Elizabeth Kormos as chairwoman to the senior advisory board for a one-year term;
William Hennessey and Kurt Anderson as members of the board of ethics through Dec. 31, 2013;
Lyon M. Greenberg, M.D. as chairman of the board of ethics for a one-year term;
Kevin Schenmeyer as dog warden captain and James Conde as dog warden for one-year terms;
The Altamont Enterprise as the official newspaper of the town;
That the town will pay dues for the state’s Magistrate Association and Tri-County Magistrate Association membership;
That a regular water committee meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. at Town Hall on the third Monday of each month;
That a regular town board meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Town Hall on the second Wednesday of each month;
Stantec Consulting Services as the town’s engineering advisor for a one-year term; and
First Niagara Bank as the depository for funds of the town and Key Bank N.A., Citizens Bank, Pioneer Bank, and M&T Bank as alternates.
