Empire State Games



Local athletes will be trekking down the New York State Thruway to the Poughkeepsie area for the on July 27 until July 31.

The athletes will compete for the Adirondack Region in scholastic and open divisions and will take on athletes from five different regions of the state.

The scholastic division is for athletes still in high school and the open division is for athletes out of high school.

The other regions are Western, Central, Hudson Valley, New York City, and Long Island.

The opening ceremonies are July 27 at Marist College in Poughkeepsie and events will take place throughout the lower Hudson Valley region, wrapping up on July 31.
