UPSEU is prepared to commence negotiations with Berne

To the Editor:

It was with great pleasure that I read Tim Tulloch’s heart-warming, inspiring story about young Aaron Carr. What a treasure he must be to his parents and the townspeople of Berne. Please let me know if there is a way for the Town highway workers and United Public Service Employees Union to assist Mr. Carr in his plans for the future.

The second part of your story concluded with the statement from Berne Supervisor Kevin Crosier that there has been no response from UPSEU. At no time has Mr. Crosier attempted to contact me for any reason; in fact, my Nov. 28, 2016 correspondence to him requesting pertinent and necessary bargaining information went unanswered until Dec. 24, 2016, days after your article.

UPSEU is prepared to commence negotiations immediately. Labor relations representative Michael Kutski and the town’s labor consultant are currently proposing mutually acceptable dates.
