The Voorheesville Blackbirds girls volleyball team battled Lake George in a five-set match in the Class C sectional semifinal on Wednesday Nov. 2.

Baseline dominance: Voorheesville’s Victoria Konicki throws the ball up during the fourth set, which saw the Blackbirds down by much as 10 points. At the end of the set, the Birds almost pulled out a huge comeback just by Konicki’s serving excellence but fell, 23-25. Konicki had 17 service points and five kills in the intense five-set match between Voorheesville and Lake George.
