The Bus Operator Roadeo held last Thursday saw 28 drivers compete on a rigid, scored course that consisted of 10 driving challenges, according to Rick Vines, center, the director of risk management for the Capital District Transportation Authority. Drivers and spectators watched the event held at Crossgates Mall, including Mike Viscusi, left, of Schenectady, who said that he has four years experience and would compete for the first time. First place went to Samuel Vangersammy, an operator for seven years. Reyaad Waxali, with four years of experience, placed second; Robert Rzeszuto, with 29 years of experience, placed third; and Manuel Ovalle, with five years of experience, placed fourth.
